This project is a kind of sociocultural study of how we organize the world in our most personal and intimate space… the bedroom. That place where we can feel the most unobserved and the least self-conscious. A space where we keep the practical, the sentimental and the secret. Whether it’s right out in the open or hidden away in a bedside table, the artifacts we surround ourselves with range from the most mundane to the sacred. I think these things organize and give us a sense of place. A place that fosters a sense of safety and comfort. A place to belong.
This is an ongoing project and I am always looking for new participants. If you would like to discuss having your space photographed for this series, please use the contact link on this site get in touch with me.
